Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co Ltd (宝钢德盛不锈钢有限公司), also known as Fujian Desheng Nickel Industry Co., Ltd., is a basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steel plant operating in Fuzhou, Fujian, China.

Background

On January 26, 2022, the EIA of the production capacity replacement project was approved.It is proposed to build a 2500m3 blast furnace and a 150-ton converter.[1]It is expected to be put into operation in 2022, and the total production capacity, together with the existing capacity, will reach 4.7 million tons.[2][3]

According to the announcement of the capacity replacement plan on March 30, 2022, Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. plans to build one 110-ton AOD furnace and three 120-ton AOD furnaces, with a totally stainless steel production capacity of 3.06 million tons, to replace one 70-ton BOF and three 80-ton BOF. [4]
