Hebei Xin Wu'an Steel Group Hongrong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (河北新武安钢铁集团烘熔钢铁有限公司), also known as Wu'an Hongrong Steel Co., Ltd., is a 2250 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steel plant operating in Handan, Hebei, China.

Background

Without obtaining relevant approval procedures, the company illegally started construction of a 1580m3 blast furnace at the end of 2021, involving a production capacity of 1.37 million tons. The blast furnace base will be basically completed in February 2022, and it is planned to be completed and put into operation in June 2022. The illegal project was removed.[2]
