Background

This plant is the headquarters production base of Jiuquan Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., which also goes by JISCO.

The company plans to build a 2070m3 blast furnace in 2022 to replace four 450m3 blast furnace. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2024.[1]
