Wuhu Fuxin Iron and Steel Co Ltd (芜湖市富鑫钢铁有限公司) is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Wuhu, Anhui, China.

Background
On February 9, 2021, a technician died during equipment repair.[1] On July 18, 2022, the Wuhu Ecological Environment Bureau has ordered Wuhu Fuxin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. to rectify its illegal acts.[2]
In March 2021, the company occupied collective land in Xindong Village, Xingang Town, without proper authorization, to construct an environmental protection shed (with a construction area of 637 square meters, which is now completed and in use). As a result, the Natural Resources and Planning Sub-bureau of Fanchang District imposed a fine of 5733 yuan (9 yuan per square meter × 637 square meters) on the company.[3]
