Background

The Llandarcy Oil Refinery closed in 1998 and was demolished in 2009, and the land is being remediated for use as a housing development. In 2019, Independent Oil & Gas PLC signed an agreement to acquire the pipeline reception facilities to be recycled and reused in new pipelines.
