Background

The Qihe-Pingdu Gas Pipeline connects to the Yulin-Jinan Pipeline and Qingdao LNG Terminal. Its design pressure is 8 MPa. [6] In October 2020 ownership of the pipeline was transferred from Sinopec to PipeChina.[9]

Environment and social impacts (or other optional sections)

At about 11:20 am on July 2, 2011, near the Huashan Toll Station 3 kilometers east of the Jinan-Qingdao Expressway, the Sinopec Jinan-Qingdao Gas Pipeline leaked and caught fire, causing an explosion and injuring one person.[10]
