Shengli No.1 open-pit mine (中国神华能源股份有限公司胜利一号露天矿) is located in the northern suburb of Xilinhot City, Xilinguole, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The annual production capacity of it is 28 million tons(Mt)per year.

Coal Mine Background

Shengli No. 1 open-[it mine is one of the 13 planned coal mines in the Shengli Mining Area of Mengdong Base, one of the country's thirteen large coal bases. It was invested and constructed by Shenhua North Electric Shengli Energy Co., Ltd.[1]

In February 2020, its plan of increasing annual production capacity was approved by the State Coal Safety Supervision Bureau, agreeing that the production capacity of the coal mine increase from 20 Mt/year to 28 Mt/year.[2]
