Shiheng Special Steel Group Co Ltd (石横特钢集团有限公司), also known as Shandong Shiheng Special Steel Group Co., Ltd.; Shandong Shiheng Special Steel Co., Ltd., is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Tai'an, Shandong, China.

Background

The capacity replacement project starts in 2019. It is planned to build 2 1460m³ blast furnaces, 2 1350m³ blast furnaces (with an ironmaking capacity of 5.04 million tons), 3 100t BOF, and 1 105t BOF (steelmaking capacity of 4.65 million tons)[1][2].In December 2020, the first phase of the project has been put into production.[3]

In August 2021, the second phase of the project was put into production.[4]
