Background

While most of the coal-fired power generating units in the Shandong Province with less than 300 MW of capacity were planned to be shut down in the years following 2019, this plant seemed to be exempt from that list.[1]

In 2022, the Weihai Thermal Power Group Company and its power plant appeared to still be operating.[2]
