Xinxing Coal Mine (黑龙江龙煤矿业集团股份有限公司七台河分公司新兴煤矿) is an underground coal mine located in Zhengyang Street, Xinxing District, Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Xinxing Coal Mine is operated by Heilongjiang Long Coal Mining Industry Group Co., Ltd. Qitaihe Branch, and the mine was established in 1958.[1] The approved production capacity in 2019 is 1.6 million tons per year.[2]

At 2:30 on November 21, 2009, a particularly serious gas explosion occurred in Xinxing Coal Mine, and 108 people were unfortunately killed.[3] At 20:48 on December 17, 2015, a major gas (coal and gas outburst) accident occurred in Xinxing Coal Mine, resulting in 3 deaths。[1]
