Yangdong Coal Mine (冀中能源峰峰集团有限公司羊东矿) is an underground coal mine located in Xinpo Town, Fengfeng Mining District, Handan City, Hebei Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Yangdong Coal Mine is one of the main production mines of Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group Co., Ltd. The mine was expanded on the basis of the original Yangquhe Coal Mine in 2006. [2] Yangdong Coal Mine is a coal and gas outburst mine and had a 1.5 million tons/year approved production capacity in 2014.[3] The approved production scale in 2019 was 1.5 million tons/year.[4]

At 8:30 am on June 28, 2011, a roof-fall accident occurred in Yangdong Coal Mine, and three miners unfortunately died.[5]
