Background

Zadubrovsky Novy coal mine (Задубровский Новый разрез) is a SURFACE mine in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.

Zadubrovsky Novy coal mine used to be part of Russian Coal, but was sold in 2015 to a private individual Alexander Netsvetayev.[2][3]

The mine's production in 2018-2019 was about 1 million tonnes.[2][4]

Coal is supplied to power stations and municipal companies in the domestic market - about 40% for Kuzbass area and 60% outside.[4]

In August 2022, according to a media article, the Zadubrovsky Novy mine was one of the mines affected by transportation infrastructure restrictions in the Eastern direction and production was suspended.[5] It is not known whether it has resumed production later on.

In November 2022, it was reported that the tax authorities filed a bankruptcy claim against the mine, but the company subsequently made a proposal to resolve the matter.[6]

No 2021 or 2022 production figures available.
