Shanxi Huaxinyuan Steel & Iron Group Co Ltd (山西华鑫源钢铁集团有限公司), also known as Hejin Huaxinyuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Hejin, Shanxi, China.

Background
According to the production capacity replacement plan, it is planned to build a 1×1300m3 blast furnace, a 1×100t basic oxygen furnace and supporting facilities in the existing plant area, and dismantle the existing equipment.[1]
The 1300m³ blast furnace and 100T basic oxygen furnace are the two most critical and fundamental projects in the "Capacity Reduction, Replacement, Upgrade, and Renovation" series of projects by Huaxin Yuan Group. These projects have the largest investment, totaling nearly 2 billion yuan. The construction period for the project is 18 months. Construction began in March 2023, and currently, the civil engineering work on the ground has been mostly completed, providing conditions for the installation of the next phase, which is the steel structure. It is expected that the main construction will be completed this year. After the project is completed and put into operation, production efficiency will increase by 50%, with an annual increase in output value of 3 billion yuan and an additional tax revenue of 250 million yuan.[2]
