Alfa Infraprop

From Global Energy Monitor
(Redirected from Alfra Infrapop Pvt. Ltd)

Alfa Infraprop is a company promoting a proposal for a coal-fired power station in Andhra Pradesh.[1]

However, the company provides no details on who is behind the company. The "About US' section of the company's website states only that "site under construction"[2] An August 2010 notice seeking expressions of interest in the project cryptically stated that "AIPL is a company promoted by promoters of one of the largest corporate companies in India who is also the second largest in India in its business line having market capitalization value of US dollars seven billion." The advertisement names a director of Alfa Infrapop as being Vidyasagar Tulluri.[3]

The deadline for the initial expressions of interest was November 15, 2010. In a subsequent 2011 note Alfa Infraprop stated that the initial response was "inadequate" and re-advertised for expressions of interest in the project with a deadline for bids by May 31, 2011.[3]
