The ACB (India) is an Indian company which originated as coal washery operators and, since 2007, a private power generation company.[1]

Coal power projects

ACB India is developing a series of coal-fired power stations including the:

  • Korba Power Project, a 270MW coal-fired power project in the Korba district, Chhattisgarh. The power project, comprising 2 x 135MW units, was scheduled to be commissioned by September 2011.
  • Ratija Power Project, a 50MW coal fired power station in the Ratija Village in the Korba district, Chhattisgarh.[2] The company proposes that following the commissioning of the first unit in September 2011 that another 50MW unit be commissioned by December 2013.[3]
  • the Chakabura power station. ACB is adding an additional 30MW coal-fired unit[4] to the existing 30MW power station. The existing 30MW unit was first commissioned in February 2007 .[5]
  • the Raigarh Power Project is a proposed 600 MW coal-fired power station to be built at Nawapara Village in the Raigarh district, Chhattisgarh. ACB India states that the proposed commissioning date of the first unit is September 2013 and the second unit is December 2013.[6]
  • the Sidhi Power Project, a proposed 1,200 MW coal-fired power station to be built in the villages of Musamudi and Bhumka Tehsil Majhauli in the Sidhi district, Madhya Pradesh. The company states that it is proposing that the proposed commissioning date of the first unit could be in June 2014 and for second unit in December 2014.[7]
  • Champa Power Project, a 1200MW coal-fired power station in the Champa-Janjgir district, Chhattisgarh. The company states that it is intended that the two 600MW units be commissioned in September 2015 and March 2016 respectively.[8]
