Baijigou Coal Mine

Baijigou Coal Mine (国家能源集团宁夏煤业有限责任公司白芨沟煤矿) is an underground coal mine located in Baijigou, Dawukou District, Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Baijigou Coal Mine belongs to China Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. It started construction in December 1965 and was put into operation in November 1972.[2] The design production capacity was 1.2 million tons/year, and it is a high gas mine.[3] The approved production capacity in 2018 was 1.6 million tons/year.[4]

At 12:45 on June 21, 2020, a roof accident occurred in Baijigou Coal Mine, resulting in one death and two injuries.[3]
