Background

China National Petroleum Corporation was planning to develop an LNG terminal in Beihai, Guangxi. The project was listed into the Special Plan for the Development of LNG Facilities in Guangxi (2019-2025) By Guangxi Reform and Development Commission.[1]

There has been no evidence of progress since 2019, and the project is presumed to be shelved as of 2021.

By January 2024, there is no progress on this project. It's presumed to be cancelled.
