The CEMEX Carbon Capture and Storage Project is a proposal by CEMEX, a global building materials company, to develop a Carbon Capture and Storage project at one of the company's U.S. cement plants.

The details on the project are vague as of July 2010. In October 2009 CEMEX stated that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) had decided to provide $1.14 million to the company, representing 20% of the cost of Phase I of developing the concept of its project. In a media release CEMEX stated that it would work with [[RTI International" and "others to design a dry sorbent CO2 capture and compression system, a pipeline (if necessary), and an injection station. This commercial-scale Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) demonstration project may remove up to 1 million tons of CO2 annually."[1]
