Background
The first two units of the power station, 2 x 350 MW, began operating in 2011. The plant is owned by CPI Ningxia Energy Aluminum.[2][3][4]
A third unit of 350 MW was commissioned in 2015.[5][6]
The three units were commissioned without receiving the necessary permits for construction.[7]
Ownership
In July 2015, China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) merged to become State Power Investment Corporation (国家电力投资集团), one of the five largest state-owned electricity producers in the People's Republic of China.[8]
