Brigadier López power station (Central Termoeléctrica Brigadier López) is an operating power station of at least 281-megawatts (MW) in Santa Fe, departamento La Capital, Argentina with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating.

Background
In February 2019, Central Puerto announced the expansion of the Brigadier López plant after purchasing the plant from IEASA.[9] As of March 2021, Central Puerto halted work on the Brigadier López plant becoming a combined cycle plant until 2022 due to a lack of financing.[10]
In November 2023, plant owner Central Puerto announced that it was moving forward with plans to add a steam turbine at Brigadier López, investing US $150 million to convert the plant to combined cycle operations. The expanded plant will reportedly make use of fossil gas from Vaca Muerta, brought in via the Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline, whose first section was completed in mid-2023, and the Gasoducto Norte, whose flow was scheduled to be reversed to run northwards starting in 2024.[11]
