Heidelberg Materials Devnya Devnya Cement Plant (Хайделберг Матириълс Девня) is an integrated cement plant operating in Devnya, Varna, Bulgaria.
Location
The map below shows the exact location of the cement plant in Devnya, Varna, Bulgaria[1]:
Coordinates (WGS 84): 43.234634, 27.595120 (exact)[2]
Background
The Devnya cement plant was purchased by Italcementi in 1998, which was later purchased by Heidelberg Materials in 2016. The plant began construction of a carbon capture pilot unit in 2023, which will undertake a pilot program for 12-24 months post commissioning. The ANRAV capture system will use OxyCal oxygen-enriched burner technology to 800,000 tonnes per year of CO2 from 3 million tonnes of plant flue emissions.
