Dung Quat Economic Zone power station is a proposed coal plant in Quảng Ngãi province, Vietnam. The project is proposed by Japanese Electric Power Development Co. (J-Power).

In April 2017, J-Power submitted plans to Quang Ngai provincial leaders to construct a coal plant in Dung Quat Economic Zone (DQEZ) in two phases. Phase I would be an ultra-supercritical coal plant with a capacity of 2,400 MW, which would begin operating in 2028. Phase II would be an IGCC coal plant with a capacity of 2,000 MW that would begin operating in 2030. The plant would use coal imported from Australia, Russia, and Indonesia, as well as domestic coal.
According to Dang Ngoc Dung, vice chairman of Quang Ngai provincial People's Committee, J-Power must submit additional information concerning use of land, total investment capital, number of workers, and environmental protection commitments prior to the beginning of a pre-feasibility survey.
In July 2018 Vietnam's seventh Power Development Plan (PDP7) was amended to include a 3 x 750 MW gas-fired plant in the Dung Quat Economic Zone instead of a coal-fired plant. The coal-fired plant appears to be cancelled.
