Background

The pipeline project has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and will include a trunk and five branches. The project is estimated to cost $5.1 billion USD, be 2,291.7 kilometers in length, and provide 30 billion cubic meters per year capacity.[1]

Phase I of the project was put into operations at the end of 2018.[2]
