Map of Brazil’s transmission and distribution network. Brazil’s network carries power across eight voltages: 138 kV, 230 kV, 345 kV, 440 kV, 500 kV, 750 kV, +/- 600 kV, and +/- 800 kV. The most common voltages are 230 kV and 500 kV. Most of the network is concentrated in the eastern half of the country, with transmission infrastructure dropping considerably in the Amazon region. Map produced by the Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico and published by Taesa.
