Background
Construction of the Heris power station began June 21, 2014. It was planned to have a capacity of 1000 MW.[12]
The first phase of operation, consisting of one 310 MW gas turbine and one 180 MW steam turbine, commenced on August 1, 2019.[13][14]
According to Omid Taban Hour Energy management, "there is not any decision about the second phase."[15] As of June 2021, Tana Energy Group lists the Heris Combined Cycle Power Plant project as "Under Construction."[16]
