Hibikinida Biomass power station (ひびき灘・バイオマス発電所) is an operating power station of at least 112-megawatts (MW) in Wakamatsu, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan. It is also known as Hibikinida Coal-Biomass power station.

Background
The 112 MW coal-fired power station is proposed by Orix Corporation for the city of Kitakyushu. The planned commissioning date is 2018.[3] The plant would burn a mix of coal and waste wood.[4]
The EIA is under local assessment and has been approved.[5]
Financing for the plant was closed in January 2016. The cost of the plant was evenly split between Orix Corporation and Hokuzai Transport.[2]
Construction began in 2016. As of 2016, the plant was planned for operation in 2019-2020.[6]
According to the Kiko Network and Orix, the plant entered commercial operations in December 2018.[7]
In October 2020 a fire caused the plant to be shut down temporarily.[8]
