Background
Holcim Philippines invested US$6.5million to upgrade the plant and increase the use of alternative fuels and raw materials to 40%[3], in the aims of accelerating the decarbonization and circularity of operations. In 2026, Holcim signed a long-term PPA with Peak Energy to install a 25MW behind-the-meter solar system at the plant, expecting to reduce carbon emissions by 28,500 metric tons a year[4].
