Background on Project

China Huadian was planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,320 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The units were permitted in 2014, and construction began that year.

The power station was completed in 2016.

Expansion

China Huadian was eventually planning for an additional six units of 1,000 MW each.
