Background on Project

China Huadian is planning to build a waste coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 600 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.[1][2][3]

The power station was permitted in 2015 and would be subcritical.[4]

Unit 1 began operating in October 2016,[5] and unit 2 in November 2016.[6]
