Background on Project

China Huaneng was planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to China's Twelfth Five-Year Plan 16 (2011).[1] A preliminary report on the project was released in 2005.[2]

However, there have been no reports of further activity to develop those plans, and they appear to be abandoned.
