Background on Plant

Hainan East power station is a four-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 1,400 MW in Hainan Province. The first two units, totaling 700 MW, were completed in 2009. Units 3 & 4, totaling 700 MW, were completed in 2012. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[1][2]
