Background

The four existing coal-fired units of Hailar power station, totaling 400 MW, were brought online in 2009. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[1]

Description of Expansion

According to WRI (2012), Huaneng was planning to build additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 400 MW.[2]

However, with no no additional news, plans appear to be cancelled.
