Background

Yingkou Coastal power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 700 MW in Liaoning Province. The plant was completed in 2009, and is owned by China Huaneng.[1]

In November 2023, environmental impact assessment information for an announced 2 x 350 MW Phase II of Yingkou Coastal power station was released.[2]
