Jieyang LNG Terminal (PipeChina), also known as 国家管网粤东LNG接收站 and 国家管网揭阳LNG接收站, is an LNG import terminal in China with units that are proposed and operating.

Background
Jieyang LNG Terminal (PipeChina) is an operating LNG terminal in Guangdong, China.[9]
Phase 1
The Jieyang LNG Terminal project was approved in 2013 and was completed in 2015. However, a lack in demand postponed commissioning of the project.[10][11] The terminal has three tanks and a receiving capacity of 2 mtpa.[12]
The first cargo delivery was received in 2017 by Qatargas.[13][14]
Phase 2
On February 18, 2013, the project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.[15]
On July 24, 2025, the Guangdong Development and Reform Commission approved the project. [16]
On December 30, 2025, construction officially commenced.[17]
Ownership change
In February 9, 2019, the National Petroleum and Natural Gas Pipeline Group Co., Ltd. (PipeChina) was established with a major focus on the investment and construction of the long-distance oil and gas pipeline network and storage & peaking facilities, offering fair and open oil and gas pipeline transmission services.[18] 10 existing and under-construction LNG terminals were reportedly transferred or are going to transfer their ownerships to PipeChina.[19] Jieyang LNG terminal is one of them.
