Lanzhou New District cogen power station (甘肃能化兰州新区热电联产项目) is a power station under construction in Xicha Town, Gaolan, Lanzhou, Gansu, China. It is also known as 国家电投黄河上游水电开发公司兰州新区热电厂一期 (Unit 1), 华能兰州新区热电厂.

Background
In May 2023, a signing ceremony between Lanzhou New District and Gansu ENERGY Chemical Co., Ltd. took place to initiate plans for a new cogeneration power project of two 350 MW units in New District, Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China.[2] Gansu ENERGY Chemical Co., Ltd. plans to invest 4.2 billion in Lanzhou New District cogeneration project.[3] The proposed supercritical project was expected to begin construction in September 2023 and operation was estimated to begin in October 2025.[2]
In June 2023, it was reported that the project was preparing its feasibility study report.[4]
A bidding announcement for the compilation of the power project's Environmental Impact Report was posted by the owner in June 2023.[5] In July 2023, additional bidding announcements were published for project design reports and further feasibility studies.[6] Biddings for steam turbine, generator and boiler were also called.[7]
