Background

In 2022, the first development phase started commercial production with Mero-1, a 180,000 bbl/d floating, production, storage and offloading unit.[9]

In 2024, the second development phase started commercial production with Mero-2, a 180,000 bbl/d floating, production, storage and offloading unit. The unit is designed for zero routine flaring using gas reinjection into the reservoir.[10]

In 2025, the third (Mero-3) and fourth (Mero-4) development is expected to start production.[11]
