Background

In 2023, Nexe Group completed upgrades to the Nasice cement plant including a solar power plant, a new kiln line, improved alternate fuel substitution, and a carbon capture system. The carbon capture system will be commissioned in 2029 and will transport 700,000 tonnes per year of CO₂ by pipeline for storage near Bockovac in Osijek-Baranja County.
