CIMA, a wholly subsidiary of UEB Group, invested RM120 million Waste Heat Recovery System, which saves up to 30% electricity consumption and reduce CO2 by 24% at the plant[3]. The plant also utilizes palm oil, pulverized fly ash, etc. at the final cement grinding stage to reduce the clinker-to-cement ratio[4].
