Traviaso-TAEJ oil pipeline is an operating oil pipeline in Venezuela.

Location

The pipeline transports oil from PDVSA's Traviaso tank farm in El Tejero, Monagas to the TAEJ terminal (Terminal de Almacenaje y Embarque José), PDVSA's crude oil storage and shipping facility on the Caribbean coast west of Barcelona, Anzoátegui, Venezuela.

Background

A pipeline in the El Tejero area experienced an explosion in March 2021, highlighting the risk for all local energy infrastructure;[3] a Venezuelan government official attributed the explosion to terrorism without citing evidence.[4]
