Background
According to a local government plan, Units 5-8 were planned to retire from 2017 to 2019.[1] Based on satellite imagery, the smoke stack and cooling towers for the 4 x 55 MW units kept operating until approximately June 2020. The 220 MW of coal capacity was presumed retired at the site, leaving 270 MW still in operation.[2]
