Background

Solveig, originally called Luno II,[8] [9]was discovered in 2013. The field's plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in 2019.[10]

The capital cost of the Solveig development is estimated at $810 million.[11]

According to Norwegian Petroleum Directorate as February 2, 2021, the field will consist of five single wells will be tied back to the Edvard Grieg field. Production is scheduled to start in 2021.[12]
