Background

The power station is owned by Hokkaido Electric Power Co and is located in Sunagawa, Hokkaidō, Hokkaidō Prefecture, Japan.[1] In June 2022, Hokkaido Electric Power announced that the power station would be formally retired in March 2027.[2]
