(Redirected from TamilNadu Electricity Board)

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) was a government owned electricity utility servicing the state of TamilNadu in India. However, it was restructured to separate the roles of generation, distribution and transmission. As a result of the restructuring, which came into effect in late 2010, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation has responsibility for the generation and retailing of electricity, Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation for the transmission network and TNEB Ltd, the holding company for the generation and transmission subsidiaries.[1]
