Background
Multiple sources in recent years have reported the La Raisa power station to be completely non-functional, or operating at a small fraction of its original capacity[14][15][16], due in part to turbine failures caused by Corpoelec using "inappropriate fuel".[14] Multi-day blackouts in the areas served by La Raisa have reportedly become commonplace.[14]
