The Tete power station is a proposed 700-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Mozambique.

In June 2019, an EPC contract for a coal-fired power plant project in Tete, Mozambique, was signed by PowerChina. The project has a planned installed capacity of two 350 MW supercritical coal-fired units. At the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing in April 2019, the President of Mozambique presented the project to the government of China as one of the key cooperation projects between China and Mozambique.[1]
