Background
UltraTech Cement Limited is part of the Aditya Birla group.[3] UltraTech Cement is the largest manufacturer of grey cement and ready-mix concrete (RMC) and one of the largest manufacturers of white cement in India.[4]
Kotputli cement works was established in 2009. The plant was expanded in 2024 by commissioning 1.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of new cement capacity.[5] The plant has further proposed the expansion of the plant, with clinker capacity to be increased from 4 mtpa to 8 mtpa and cement capacity from 4 mtpa to 8 mtpa.[6]
