Termocamaçari power station (Usina Termelétrica Rômulo Almeida) is an operating power station of at least 131-megawatts (MW) in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil. It is also known as Rômulo Almeida, Cogeração Camaçari.

Background
In March 2021, Petrobras reportedly filed an official request to deactivate the Rômulo Almeida power station due to changes in its business strategy.[8] Brazil's national electricity agency ANEEL approved the request[9], paving the way for the project to be decommissioned.[10][11]In November 2021, Petrobras announced that it had reached an agreement to lease the power plant to Brazilian chemical company Proquigel Química S.A. through August 2030. It was not immediately clear whether Proquigel planned to continue operating the power plant.[12]
