Background
In February 2019, the power plant was under development and published its Environmental Impact Assessment.[3][4]
In 2019, it was reported that many of the coal-fired power generating units in the Shandong Province with less than 300 MW of capacity would be shut down "in about three years."[5] However, this power station appeared to be exempt from that plan. Unit 4 may have been retired.[6][4]
Unit 4 was confirmed "retired" in 2026.[7]
