Background on Project

In 2010-2011, an unknown company proposed building a waste coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 300 MW in Shaanxi Province.[1][2]

In 2015 the Shaanxi provincial government again tried to generate interest for bidders to construct a power station in Zichang County, this time 700 MW (2 x 350 MW).[3]

As of January 2018 no bidders have committed to the project, and it appears to be abandoned.
