Shandong Guangfu Group Co., Ltd. (山东广富集团有限公司), also known as Shandong Guangfu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., is a 3960 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF), basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and electric arc furnace (EAF) idled steel plant in Binzhou, Shandong, China.

Background

According to the steel capacity transfer plan of the Shandong Province People's Government, Shandong Guangfu Group Co., Ltd. and another steel plant located in Zouping, Shandong Province (Shandong Chuanyang Group Co., Ltd.) will withdraw a total of over 10 million tons of iron and steel production capacity by 2022. The two plants will dismantle eight blast furnaces, five basic oxygen furnaces and two electric furnaces, equaling 5.69 million tons of ironmaking capacity and 6.66 million tons of steelmaking capacity. This capacity will be transferred to Rizhao Steel Holding Group, with the Shandong plants' equipment to be fully dismantled before the new equipment of Rizhao Iron and Steel Group is completed and put into operation. [2]
